Cities and countries across Asia Pacific will continue to play host to a plethora of major sporting events, including the 2018 Winter Olympics, 2020 Summer Olympics, 2022 Winter Olympics, 2022 Asian Games, and the 2023 SEA Games.
Building on the success of the previous Stadia & Arena Asia Pacific events, Stadia & Arena Japan 2018 has now joined forces with Sports Business Japan to bring you an exhibition and conference to energise the business of sport and create an open innovation space dedicated to solving issues in the region and now directly into Japan's sports industry... a true sign of the growth of Venue Management as a discipline in APAC and in Japan in particular.
Japan is the perfect choice with the Rugby World Cup 2019 taking place at 12 venues located across the islands, 36 venues proposed currently for the Toyko Olympics 2020 and 19 confirmed for the Paralympics, plus the recent addition of the 2026 Asian Games to take place in Nagoya.
With a successful two-tier Soccer League running since 1993 (three-tier since 2014), a well established Baseball League, a soon-to-be expanded Basketball League (the new 45-team, three-tier B.League starts in 2017), and 15 arena projects already planned with many more proposed (in addition to any Olympic venue development); Japan promises to be too good an opportunity to miss.
Stadia & Arena Events are now firmly established as the global must-attend events for live entertainment & sports venue owners, operators and developers as well as for the sector’s leading architects, designers, contractors, producers and suppliers. But don’t just take our word for it:
Stadia & Arena has delivered another successful conference in Tokyo this year for the venue industry. From my perspective it has been a great opportunity to connect with other venue professionals and those connected with the industry from around the globe. It has been great to share knowledge as well as learn new things, and to discuss issues, trends and opportunities. I’m looking forward to the 2018 conference already.

We were very excited to obtain a lot of invaluable industry knowledge from attending the 2017 event and to start to develop key business relationships with people in the sector from around the world.
