Russell is a highly experienced chartered marketer and business manager who joined Swansea BID in 2009. Before this, he was Commercial Manager for the largest pharmacy group in the country and also headed up the marketing of the company's property development portfolio and wine businesses.

Russell is the only person in the country to have led a BID company to secure three ballots from +800 organisations. He has played a leading role working with Government in growing the BIDs sector pan-Wales and has led the company to operate in the top 20% of its c.350 BIDs, £136m t/o and 87,000 businesses sector. Russell is the BID company's leader, communicator, and manager reporting to the board. He drives the companies service delivery, improvements & transformation, building successful & effective partnerships. Russell sits on British BIDs, Association of Town Centre Management, The BIDs Foundation national boards, and Regeneration Swansea and Town & City centre action groups at a local and regional level.
